Coffee Sessions with Eminent Scientists

The ICFO-SPIE and OSA student chapters invite various renowned speakers from time to time to have formal and informal talks with the chapter members. The informal part provides a very relaxed atmosphere where students chat with the scientists over a cup of coffee and some snacks. These meetings are excellent opportunities for members to share the knowledge and experience with these eminent scientists and receive valuable advice form them. Various topics about the life of these scientists, experiences, factors leading them into the specific fields of research, their accomplishments, memorable and humorous events in their career etc: are discussed in these meetings in addition to the specificities of their research fields. These meetings are always highly motivating to the young researchers.
